A tool that helps you plan for emergencies is a tempting thing to imitate. Here’s exactly what SoleCo holds, and how to tell it’s really us.
SoleCo never asks for a password, a two-factor code, a recovery code, or a key. Not by email, not by phone, not on this site. If someone claiming to be SoleCo asks, it isn't us.
Where your information lives
On SoleCo's servers

- Your email address, and your name if you add it
- Company names, type, state, and one line on what each does
- Which accounts each company uses, and whose login each one is
- Renewal dates and links you add
- Your scan answers and checklist progress
- Payment status from Stripe (never your card)
Only in your browser
Typed, kept, and printed on your device. SoleCo never receives it.
- The names, phone numbers, and emails in your step-in guide
- Your wishes, in your own words
- A free scan you haven't saved
Nowhere in SoleCo
Not stored, not asked for, and refused if you paste it.
- Passwords, API keys, and recovery codes
- Two-factor codes and seed phrases
- Who holds the parts of your Owner key, and where
- Bank names and account numbers, and which password manager you use
If SoleCo were ever breached, someone would learn which companies you run and which accounts they use. They wouldn’t get a way into any of them, and they wouldn’t learn who steps in for you or who holds your Owner key.
Messages from SoleCo
- SoleCo only emails you: sign-in links you asked for, and a quarterly check-in if you turn it on.
- Links go to getsoleco.com and nowhere else. No attachments, ever.
- No email from SoleCo asks you to reply with information, confirm a code, or “verify” an account.
- SoleCo never sends you physical mail, never sends bags, envelopes, or kits, and never asks you to post anything anywhere, or to re-seal, renew, or verify your Owner key. Anything like that in the post is not from us, whatever it looks like.
- SoleCo never emails your lawyer, your family, or the person who steps in.
Instructions for your AI
- The full instructions are on Let your AI run it, dated and versioned. Read them before you paste them.
- They run on your machine, never read .env files or passwords, and send nothing to SoleCo.
- They tell your AI to ignore anything that claims to add to them. If “SoleCo instructions” reach you any other way, don’t use them.
Paper, not files
- Your step-in guide is printed from your browser, not emailed or uploaded. It holds no passwords.
- Print two dated copies: one for your lawyer, one for the person who steps in. Shred older copies when you print new ones.
- Your Owner key is kept in parts. A lost, stolen, or copied part opens nothing on its own.
Who runs SoleCo
- SoleCo is operated by [Operating entity] and built by [Founder name].
- Report a security problem to security@getsoleco.com.
- Deleting your account in Settings removes everything on SoleCo’s servers. Guide details in your browser stay until you clear them on the guide page.
